Mr Ekwobi performed an excision and skin graft. The operation went well and the whole process was efficiently done. The donor site was in great shape once the dressing came off after 10 days. I only needed to return to see him afor 8 weeks at which point he was able to see the grafted site was good enough for him to be able to be discharged. So the whole issue was sorted on just three visits to him. He is pleasant and focused. A superb ambassador for the NHS.. At the outset his assistant warned me I would be incapacitated for at least a week but actually it was four weeks before I could resume full normal duties so my only recommendation would be not to under assess full recovery time. If I was to need similar treatment in future I hope that I would be treated by Mr Ekwobi again. I am very grateful to him and his team.

I first met Mr Ekwobi in November 2017 presenting with a very embarrassing developed chest for a man he immediately confirmed gynocomastia. He was reassuring and settled my embarrassment quickly I felt comfortable n his care. He told me that he would do his best to fit me in to his surgery list quickly and within 2 weeks I was having surgery namely bi lateral mastectomy. The follow up clinics at RPH have been very informative and I have never felt so confident in my body since I was a teenage lad. Even attending a training day for younger doctors voluntarily at a request of Mr Ekwobi I would never have had this confidence before. I’m reassured my obvious scarring will fade and have been given appropriate scar management information. Over the years I have heard many horrendous stories about the NHS from people and indeed had my own encounters, however Mr Ekwobi is a shining example of the modern day consultant others should aspire to. Thank you for all you have done for me.

Wonderful care from start to finish.Recently underwent removal of BCC on my face. Mr Ekwobi and his team were absolutely fantastic, I was put totally at ease and my condition and treatment was explained well to me.The level of expertise care and empathy that were shown to me during my treatment were beyond expectation. Thank you does not seem enough somehow.Would highly recommend Mr Ekwobi and all his team at Royal Preston Chorley and Lancaster who were all fantastic. Thankyou so so much for everything. Mark Ghee
